Do you want to be fancy? Make your friends some of our lovely homemade hummus to take on your next expedition. It's delicious, vegan, sounds fancy, it's easy to make and it's packed with proteins.

Also, it is very versatile. You can eat it with crackers, use it as dip for veggies and crisps, put it on salad, etc.

This is our basic recipe, but do feel free to experiment with more ingredients and flavors.

Ingredients:

3 cups of cooked chickpeas

1/3 cup uf water

2 cloves of garlic

½ cup of tahini (sesame butter or oil)

Juice of two lemons

Pinch of cumin, pepper and/or parceley.

Pinch of salt.

Spoonful of olive oil

Instructions:

You can used tinned chickpeas or start off with dry ones. If you do the latter, remember to soak the chickpeas for a full night before cooking them. Them follow the same steps for both options:

  1. In a food processor put the chickpeas, water, garlic, salt, and cumin.

  2. Add the lemon juice and tahini. Process it until the consistency is creamy. If it is too dense add a little bit of water.

To give the last fancy finishing touche, add a little bit of olive oil to the top as a decoration, and some spices or nuts.
